I’m a bit shy on my Instagram and Facebook - I think because it’s such a public platform. But THIS is where we are all pals! …a little bit about me and my work:

“Catherine Rayner is an award winning children’s author and illustrator. Originally from Yorkshire, Catherine studied Illustration at Edinburgh College of Art. She fell in love with the city and still lives there with her husband, two sons, and a small menagerie of animals of all shapes and sizes. The largest is a horse called Shannon and the smallest is a shrimp called Gavin. Her dachshund, Otto joins her in the studio every day. Catherine loves animals and is constantly inspired by the creatures which surround her.
Catherine’s books for children have been translated in to 35 languages and have sold over two million copies worldwide. They have been adapted for television, audio, theatre and musicals and more recently Catherine launched her own Babywear Collection featuring characters from her books.
Winner of the 2009 Kate Greenaway Medal, Catherine has been shortlisted a further 6 times. She has won multiple awards for her books both in the US and UK. Notably the UKLA Book Award, Book Trust Early Years Award and has earned the Junior Library Guild gold Standard in the USA for her book My Pet Goldfish. Catherine usually writes her own picture books and she has also illustrated for other authors including Julia Donaldson, Michael Morpurgo and Michael Bond. Catherine regularly exhibits her large scale paintings in galleries across the UK and her artwork is held in collections worldwide.”
